Goal Boss

Every year - many of us make New Year Resolutions that inevitably fizzle out in next to no time. One of the biggest factors of this is setting crazy high goals that can be very difficult to reach or maintain. You lose interest and experience failure which would put anyone off. Here are a few tips to keep you on track. We've put together some awesome goal sheets and workout planners to keep on your phone or print at home to help you. Scroll to the bottom to download.

1. Start by setting small goals

One of the best ways to start achieving those goals is to start small. Whether that's making your bed every morning or going to bed earlier. Set yourself a small attainable goal that you know you can easily accomplish. You'll feel great knowing you've already hit this small goal and you'll give yourself confidence to work on the bigger ones.

2. Create a realistic routine

There's nothing better than creating a routine that works for you. It's so much easier to fit everything in and it's less likely to skip things as it's already in your routine. If you're new to working out - starting off with 5 workouts a week is unrealistic. Start with 2-3 a week and try schedule them for the same time. A small bit of planning to get a healthy routine can have amazing benefits like less stress, better sleeping habits and better overall health.

3. Write a step-by-step plan to your goal

Having a plan of action to reach your goal will not only keep you on track, but also gives you something to cross off when you reach that milestone. This gives you a great feeling of accomplishment and gives you the drive to carry on towards your goal.

4. Put yourself out there

During these Covid times - staying socially distant is important but there are still many ways to stay connected. If you happen to have a friend who has a similar goal like running a 5k or doing strength classes - you can team up and train together or workout together using Zoom. Having a workout buddy can help you keep your structured routine, with a bit of friendly competition to keep you pushing yourself and you'll have more fun!

5. Now put pen to paper

Set those goals down in writing. Personally I like to have my list printed and tacked to the inside of my wardrobe door. I see it every day so it's a daily reminder of what I'm working towards. We've created a goal planner sheet and workout planner for you to print at home or keep on your phone.
