During these unsettling times it may feel like everything is out of your control. Your normal day to day routine has been completely up ended and it is hard to say right now how long this will go on for. But fear not, there are still many things you can do to keep yourself fit and healthy and on the right track.

6 Ways To Stay Fit & Healthy During Lockdown by Laura Scanlon

  1. Morning Routine : Get up every morning at the same time, set an early alarm and try not to hit the snooze button. This way your body clock will stay on track and you won’t feel sluggish and groggy from oversleeping. Oversleeping will be detrimental to your overall health and really throw you off center.

  2. LIVE workouts: Take advantage of all the FREE fitness workouts which are all on offers across INSTAGRAM. Try different ones out each day as there is plenty to choose from.

  3. Breakfast: As the saying goes “start as you mean to go on”, eat healthy in the morning and you are setting the tone for the day. Try a high protein breakfast like an omlette or slow release carbs like overnight oats which will keep you fuller for longer.

  4. Read: Remember that book you have been dying to read, well now is your time. Invest in some well deserved reading time.

  5. Podcast: There are so many amazing podcasts to listen to at the moment. I’m pretty sure your favourite athlete or celebrity has been a guest on one recently. So get googling and make a list of positive podcasts to listen to today.

  6. Steps: Remember to stand up and move around every 30 minutes. Keep the joints fluid by walking the stairs up and down a few times. Start your stopwatch and do 5 minute intervals throughout the day.

Oh and remember to Wash Your Hands :)

Stay safe and well
