6 Ways to Stay Gold to Slay Goals

Setting goals is one of the best ways to keep you on track to your fitness journey, healthy lifestyle or whatever you're working towards. We all know it can be hard to stay on track with life sometimes getting in the way so here are 6 ways to stay gold to slay goals.

1. Set Goals That Motivate You

When something is important to you - there's more value in achieving them. When you're working towards something that you feel strongly about it gives you more drive to work towards them.

2. Set Attainable Goals

If you've never run a day in your life - it might be a bit of a stretch to go out tomorrow and run a 5k. And if you tried and failed it would be really demotivating. Setting a smaller goal of running 1km first and building up towards the 5k will keep you motivated when you smash the smaller goals that build you towards your bigger goals.

3. Start Your Day Off By Accomplishing Something Small

Starting your day off by accomplishing something small is a great way to keep you motivated. Whether it's making your bed, stretching or taking a few minutes to yourself to meditate or read. You'll feel good for starting your day off with having already ticked something off the list.

4. Make An Action Plan

Sometimes we get so focused on the end goal that we forget to plan all the steps along the way to get there. Go old school and write them down so you can cross them off along the way to show your progress.

5. You Won't Always Be Motivated So You Have To Be Dedicated

We've all been there. Those days where the last thing you want to do is put those trainers on and get moving. Stick with your plan to get you to the finish line. You know it's worth it once you've achieved it.

6. Reward Yourself For Hitting Those Goals

Keep your eye on the prize! Rewarding yourself with something small like a smoothie or a new pair of trainers or new workout gear. Having something to work towards is a great way to keep up that motivation.
